Getting started with party-building RPGs
Party-building RPGs like Emberfall Saga can feel overwhelming at first — skill trees, roles, gear, resistances. But a few simple habits make the opening hours much smoother, and I wish someone had told me these earlier.
First, don't spread your upgrades thin. Pick a clear role for each party member and commit. A focused healer and a focused damage dealer will carry you further than four characters who each do a bit of everything.
Second, actually read enemy descriptions. So many battles in these games are decided before they start, based on whether you brought the right damage type. Thirty seconds of reading saves a lot of retries.
Finally, don't hoard consumables. New players tend to save their best items for a boss that never comes. Use them, learn what they do, and you'll play more confidently for it.
